Get a Tezos wallet

Install Kukai (kukai.app) or Temple wallet. Create an account and save your seed phrase safely.

Click [ wallet ] in the header

Enter your wallet address or connect via Kukai/Temple. Your balance and profile will appear.

Fund your wallet

Buy XTZ (Tezos) on any exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, etc.) and send to your address. 5–10 XTZ is enough to start.

Follow artists

Search for a wallet address or .tez name. Following curates your personal feed — only their activity appears.

Discover NFTs

Browse minted works from followed artists. Click any work to see details, owner history, and objkt.com listing.

BBS Community

Join the community board to post, reply to artists, and connect with other collectors.

DRAW mode — Canvas Studio

A full digital painting canvas with layers, brushes, and blend modes. Paint, compose, and draw original works directly in the browser. No software installation needed.

COLLAGE mode

Import images, resize, rotate, and layer them freely on the canvas. Create mixed-media compositions by combining photos, drawings, and textures.

GENERATIVE mode

Algorithmic art tools powered by code-driven patterns. Create unique generative pieces using built-in algorithms, noise fields, and parametric designs.

PIX mode — Pixel Studio

Dedicated pixel art editor built into the Atelier. Up to 8 independent layers, 128×128 resolution, custom palette swatches. Draw, composite layers, export as PNG or mint directly.

me:DERU — Extensible Multi-EFX Engine

me:DERU is the image processing engine with two modes: DERU (layer compositing with 22+ EFX modules, opacity & blend modes, real-time preview) and NODE (visual graph pipeline for complex effect chains). Both share the same LIBRARY and plugin-based EFX modules.

GIF Studio (DERU → GIF tab)

Create animated GIFs from library frames. Features: multi-frame timeline with per-frame delay, playback direction (Forward / Reverse / Ping-Pong), timeline editing (auto P-Pong, Shuffle, Reverse, Clear), speed presets (Slow/Normal/Fast/Rapid), size presets, quality/color/dither settings, and Space key play/pause. Export as .gif file.

POST mode — Mint your work

After finishing your artwork, switch to POST mode to set title, description, tags, royalty (up to 25%), and optional price. Then mint directly onto Tezos as an FA2 token.

Pipeline (planned)

DRAW/PIX artwork will be sendable to a Pipeline slot and used as a base for other tools like the Gacha Layer Composer, GIF Studio, and more.

Mouse & Trackpad Tips

• Material Presets: Hover over the numbered preset tabs and use your mouse scroll wheel to browse horizontally. You can also click-and-drag the tabs, or use the ◀ ▶ arrow buttons that appear on each side. • Trackpad: Two-finger horizontal swipe over the tabs. • Backspace / Delete key: Removes the selected element (Collage mode) or current frame (GIF Studio). • Space key: Play / pause GIF preview in GIF Studio.

Create a Collection

Go to Atelier → [ New Collection ]. Set a name, description, and thumbnail. Each collection deploys its own FA2 smart contract on Tezos — your own on-chain gallery.

Invite Collaborators

When creating a collection, add collaborators by wallet address or .tez name. They will receive an on-chain invitation to accept and join the collection.

Co-Creator Royalties

Set a royalty percentage (up to 25%) and split it among co-creators. Royalties are enforced by the smart contract on every secondary sale. The split is calculated automatically and stored on-chain.

Material Credits

When using material presets from other artists in the Atelier, those artists are automatically credited in the NFT metadata. They receive a share (currently 4% each) of every sale.

Mint into Collections

After creating a collection, select it from the drop-down in POST mode. Your artwork is minted directly into that collection's contract.

Layer Composer

Upload multiple image layers to auto-generate a collection of unique trait combinations. Set weights and rarity per trait.

Image Compression

Choose a compression mode before uploading artworks: • Balanced — max 2048px / quality 85% (recommended) • Max Compress — max 1024px / quality 72% (fastest upload) • Original — uncompressed (for high-res work)

Mint a Gacha

Select quantity → confirm price → click "GACHA MINT" → sign in wallet. A random work from the collection is revealed instantly.

Share your collect

After minting, share the result to X with one click. Your artwork is on Tezos forever.

Open the door

Step through the door into a 3D corridor gallery showcasing an artist's collection. Walk through the hallway and experience art in an immersive space.

Navigate

Click or use ↑↓ arrow keys to walk forward/backward through the corridor.

Leave a guestbook entry

Type a message in the guestbook — it posts automatically to the BBS community board.

Enter a portal

At the end of the corridor, glowing doors lead to galleries of artists you follow. Keep exploring.

Mint Reward: +100 MDRU

Mint a new artwork in the Atelier and receive 100 $MDRU instantly. Creating is the highest-rewarded action.

Collect Reward: +10 MDRU per 1 ꜩ

Buy an artwork through mederu and earn $MDRU proportional to the price. Example: 5 ꜩ purchase = +50 MDRU.

Click [ SHARE ON X ] or [ FARCASTER ] on any artwork modal. Your share link includes a referral code automatically.

Copy Link

Click [ COPY LINK ] to get a direct URL to the artwork with your referral embedded. Paste anywhere.

How referral works

When someone opens your shared link and purchases the artwork, you receive +5 $MDRU as a referral reward. The reward is sent automatically — no extra steps needed.

After purchase

After buying, a congratulations screen appears with a pre-composed tweet. Share your collection to X or Farcaster with one click.

Do I need a wallet to browse?

No. Browsing the feed, exploring galleries, and reading the BBS is free and wallet-free.

What wallets are supported?

Kukai and Temple are recommended. Any Tezos-compatible wallet works.

How much does minting cost?

Tezos gas fees are typically 0.001–0.01 XTZ (< $0.02). Plus the artwork price set by the artist.

Do royalties work on resales?

Yes. Royalties (set by artists, up to 25%) are enforced by the smart contract on every secondary sale — forever.

How do I become an artist on mederu?
